Let's start with the good... it's been 3 years!

I've been busy knitting and not sharing...

These two pictures are a sneak peek into a pattern I have been working on. I can't say much about it yet, but I hope it will be released soon so I can!

This next one is a project that has been a labor of love. Freija (published by twist collective) is a cardigan pattern that screams me; there's asymmetry, cabling, arms with cabling pattern, and a stand-up collar. For such a beautiful pattern I had to use equally beautiful yarn - madtosh dk in Gossamer. I started it quite a few months ago, but "things" in life got in the way. I lost all motivation and extra time. Surprisingly, in the past few days I have found myself excited to finish it. Maybe it's the hint of fall in the air. I can tell it's right around the corner. One more sleeve to go...

So, now for the "things" that have kept me away from the blog... the past few months I have been searching for answers to why I can't seem to hold a pregnancy. In one year's time I have lost three. I have seen countless numbers of doctors and specialists and at the end of the day they tell us they can not find a reason. Oh, and in the middle of all this we moved across the country to Alabama. So, I have been dealing with a lot of change and haven't been in the right mindset to write about my knitting.

But, I have made some new friends here in Alabama. I'm feeling a bit more motivated. I feel like I may have turned a corner, starting on a fresh, blank page. It's a little bit of a scary adventure we're on... thank goodness my knitting always seems to keep me grounded. And I have to remember that I have been blessed with one beautiful girl who turned 3 over the summer.

And that reminds me that my blog just turned 3. This blog was a scary adventure at first. I had so many things I wanted to accomplish with it and didn't know how. Looking back, I'm happy to say that I'm well on my way to accomplishing those things and it's all thanks to my readers and supporters. I now have a new set of goals and things I want to accomplish, so stay tuned!!
